Virtually everyone who attended Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich's wedding said that each minute was better than the last. For the bride, however, there was one moment that was more poignant than all the rest.

"I'll never forget the moment I turned the corner and locked eyes with you. I knew that my future was in front of me, and WOW, did it look great!" Hough wrote on Instagram. The dancer also revealed that her obsession with the day's details dissolved when she saw Laich waiting for her at the end of the aisle. "As we all know, I was a bride that knew every single detail about the décor and flowers, to the church pew seating and the confetti that went off at just the right time. The list goes on and on. But I will tell you, I missed it all, because I couldn't take my eyes off of you!" she explained.

Julianne Hough Calls Marriage to Brooks Laich "Even Better" Than the Honeymoon Phase

"People always ask 'What was the best part of our wedding?'" Hough continued. "The best part of the day was you!" That doesn't mean she didn't enjoy the rest of the celebration, though. Hough also said exchanging vows and walking off together "hand in hand as husband and wife" were some of the most memorable parts of the day. As these sweet details about Hough's nuptials emerge, her brother's words become more and more true: "There's no competing with this wedding," Derek Hough told People earlier this month.

Hough and Laich were married at a lake-side ceremony in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in July, after a two-year-long engagement. Their party, which featured puppy ring bearers, fireworks, and an antique mirror dance floor, was more magical than the couple could have hoped, said Hough. "I don't think I ever really necessarily dreamed about my wedding as a kid," Hough shared, just days after the ceremony. "But I know I will always cherish and remember it for the rest of my life."
