11 Essentials You Need in Your Getting-Ready Suite
Make sure you're adequately prepared on the morning of your wedding!
There's a lot you need to remember to bring with you on your wedding day. While you probably already have a list of must-haves that can't be left at home, we're willing to guess it doesn't cover everything. Sure, you wrote down your wedding dress (obviously!), shapeware, shoes, and accessories, but have you thought about the other essentials you'll need in your getting-ready space? From styling products to snacks, we're listing 11 items you should have in your bridal suite on the morning of the wedding.
A Sewing Kit
Whether it's on your dress, your mom's, or a bridesmaid's, the very last thing anyone needs is a zipper breaking on the big day. Grab a sewing kit to bring into the bridal suite to ensure any wardrobe malfunction can easily be addressed. We hope you don't need to use it, but you'll be thankful you have it on hand just in case.
Dry skin shows in photos. Make sure you and your 'maids look beautiful and glowing by staying properly moisturized. Pack a skin-sensitive lotion that anyone will be able to use should they need it.
You never know when you or your bridal party could accidentally stub their toe or cut their finger. Be prepared and have a first-aid kit on hand, just in case.
With everything that's going on, you might forget to eat (seriously!). While it's best to plan ahead and order breakfast and lunch for you and your bridesmaids, you should also keep some healthy snacks, like fruit and granola bras, on hand.
Your hairdresser will bring some, but hair emergencies often strike after they've left. Buy an assortment of bobby pins in black, brown, and blonde to fix flyaways and falling updos throughout the night.
You never know when a headache or allergies will strike. Pack some Benadryl and aspirin so you're able to help anyone who needs it.
A Fake Wedding Ring
You'd be surprised by how much your wedding ring will move around on the wedding day. Your photographer will want to take some pictures of it, your maid-of-honor will want to clean it, and the best man will come to claim it. It's best to have another ring on hand in case yours goes missing at some point.
Because you never know when Aunt Flo is coming to town. Seriously.
When you have a big bridal party, you really can't have enough mirrors. Try to set them in multiple places around the room so you can be spaced out, but still together while you're getting ready.
With lots of women getting ready comes extra curling irons, straighteners, and chargers. You'll all be in for a major headache if there's only one or two electrical outlets available. Bring a couple of power strips to share the love.
You're going to need a lot of it, so it's a good idea to pick up more than you think is necessary. Splurge on the good stuff-you want your look to last all day, don't you?
