Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are officially parents! According to various reports, the tennis superstar checked into the hospital on Wednesday night and was induced the next day. The couple's little one—a daughter—finally arrived this afternoon.
CBS12, along with other news outlets, shared that Williams cleared out the entire floor of St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Reporter Chris Shepherd, who spoke with a source from the hospital, broke news of the birth earlier today. According to him, both Williams and the newborn are doing well.

"Obviously I'm super excited. Words can't describe," Venus Williams, the new mom's sister, told ESPN just before taking to the court for her U.S. Open match this afternoon.
About a month ago, Ohanian gave an interview and shared that Williams thought their baby was a girl. "We're going to be surprised," the Reddit founder said at the time, adding, "I will say this, though: We have our hunches." "Obviously, she won the Australian Open while pregnant and she remarked that she feels like it has to be a little girl because everything that little baby went through and handled like a champ, only a woman could be strong enough to take on."
The athlete's sister, Venus Williams, also referred to the incoming baby as "she." "She's going to call me her favorite aunt," the tennis pro said in an interview. Of course, the mom-to-be dispelled rumors then, assuring her fans that the sex remained unknown. Ohanian and Williams are currently engaged. While there's no word on the wedding date yet, they'll probably be occupied with parenthood for a while!
