Today, August 4th, marks Barack Obama's birthday—the former U.S. president turns a cool 56. And while there's plenty to celebrate about the big man already, this news will give you just one more reason. A Twitter post has recently gone viral, all thanks to the former first family. When someone invited the Obamas to her upcoming wedding, no one expected the response she received—or, a response at all! But leave it to the power couple to make dreams come true with the sweetest decline in the books.
One daughter took to Twitter in July to announce something incredible—her mom, Liz Whitlow, invited the Obamas to her wedding, and the famous pair actually replied! While Barack and Michelle didn't RSVP yes, they did wish the bride the happiest of marriages. "Congratulations on your wedding," the note said. "We hope that your marriage is blessed with love, laughter, and happiness and that your bond grows stronger with each passing year. This occasion marks the beginning of a lifelong partnership, and as you embark on this journey, know you have our very best for the many joys and adventures that lie ahead." We're crying.
If that's not amazing enough, the post sparked an outpouring of comments, with other Twitter users sharing similar experiences. From responses to grads and newborn babies alike, the Obamas aren't stingy when it comes to spreading cheer.
