Meghan Markle may be our next opportunity for a royal wedding, but before Prince Harry decides to get down on one knee and pop the question, another European royal has something to say to the actress. Monaco's Prince Albert—who is well informed about the world of royal romances after his very public wedding to Princess Charlene—just shared some advice for Prince Harry's girlfriend, and it sounds like a perfect fit for Meghan's very British relationship.
"The only kind of advice I can offer is the British expression: 'Keep calm and carry on,'" Prince Albert said in response to requests for royal dating wisdom, according to Vogue. It may sound a little like something you've seen on a notebook, but is there any other way to cope with royalty-level fame? According to Albert, probably not.
"Being an actress, in a way, gets you a little prepared, but nothing really can prepare you for the constant pace of it. Particularly now that the pace has changed so much. It's hard for anyone to handle," Albert explained. Don't forget, Albert's own mother was actress Grace Kelly, who married Prince Rainier III of Monaco to become Princess Grace in 1956. "Mom taught us that you have to do all you can to protect your private life," Albert added. "But you also have to face the press at some points. When we went on family holidays together, we would take an hour on the first morning and give that to the photographers. We let them have that hour and in return they would let us go on with our lives during the vacation."
Sounds like a pretty good trade off to us. Here's hoping Meghan takes Albert's insight into account. With all the media attention on the possibility of an upcoming engagement to Prince Harry, she'll certainly need it!
