Oh and did I mention that this was the most fun wedding I've ever been to? I assumed the dance floor would be and I was NOT disappointed. In fact it exceeded all expectations. It was made of antique glass for Christ sake. @simplytroy crushed in every way and every detail was absolute perfection. Ahhhhhhh!! Take me back!! Can you guys renew your vows every year? Thanks!
Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich had the lakefront wedding of your dreams, and now, that's becoming all the clearer, after one of Hough's bridesmaids spoke out. Nina Dobrev, a close friend of the bride, loved every minute of the nuptials. She spoke to People about her first time as a bridesmaid, and you're going to be totally jealous.
"Well I have to tell you, it was my first ever bridesmaid experience I ever had," the actress shared. "Julianne and Brooks popped my cherry—in a way!" she joked. She also seemed skeptical about other celebrations never living up to that of her best friend. "It is only downhill from here," she admitted, after considering being a bridesmaid again.
For the ceremony, Dobrev wore a pale-pink gown that was strapless and covered in floral appliqués. The dress was one of the prettiest we've seen, and especially for a bridesmaid! In a photo of the piece that Dobrev posted on Instagram, another bridesmaid, Maude Hirst, was also shown. She wore a similar ensemble, but her gown had straps. Both were designed by Marchesa.
Dobrev was sure to gush about the rest of the wedding weekend, giving special props to the event's planner, Troy Williams. "He brought out every little detail and nothing was spared. It was absolutely breathtaking and perfect," she raved. "It was so fun, so amazing, and so full of love and positivity." She also shared that she helped Hough with wedding-dress shopping, having attended all of her fittings. "I got to be a big part of that as a spectator," she said of Hough's Marchesa number.
Well, this wedding just keeps getting better. If only we were all as lucky as Dobrev.
