Olympic ice dance champion Meryl Davis is engaged! The athlete, who competed at the 2010 and 2014 Olympic Winter Games (and earned three medals in the process), just accepted a proposal from former Canadian ice skater Fedor Andreev—and Davis finally took to Instagram to share the big news.
Davis posted a sweet photo of the couple embracing, and the snap features an up-close shot of her stunning new addition: A halo-set engagement ring that's certainly not short on the sparkle! "7/13/17," is all she added to the caption, indicating that the couple got engaged last Thursday during a vacation in California.
Team USA reports Davis' newly-minted fiancé also happens to be the son of the medalist and Dancing with the Stars winner's longtime coach, Marina Zoueva. He's a Canadian and Russian citizen, and has taken to the ice to compete for both countries, medaling as a men's singles skater at the Canadian championships and finishing fourth as an ice dancer at the 2011 Russian championships.
The pair dated for more than six years before Andreev dropped to one knee, and currently live together in Michigan with an adorable dog named Bilbo. Congratulations to the happy couple! We can't wait to see what kinds of wedding details these champions pull together for the big day!
