Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have a long history together, and it all started in 2009 when they co-starred in The Last Song. In honor of International Kissing Day, Cyrus shared a throwback from their beginnings, and the photo will have you seriously reminiscing.

"Happy #InternationalKissingDay!" wrote the singer on Twitter. "Our first smooch 8 years ago!" The photo shows Cyrus and Hemsworth kissing on the set of the Nicholas Sparks adaptation. Talk about a great #tbt, and what a love story, too! The couple met while filming the movie, which itself was a total romance. The on-screen spark blossomed into something real, and the rest is history.

MILEY CYRUS AND LIAM HEMSWORTH ARE BACK ON

Since then, the couple has faced some bumps-after getting engaged, they spent some time apart. Now, the pair is officially back on, though they've kept pretty mum about future wedding plans. Cyrus did just release a single, though, which seems to shine light on her bond with Hemsworth. Lyrics like "I never would've believed you / If three years ago you told me / I'd be here writing this song" seem to reflect on the split, while "It's a brand new start / A dream come true" offer hope for the together-again couple.

Overall, the song expresses love and gratitude-clearly, the couple's doing great. Plus, the soundtrack's lyrics reference the beach. It was practically written to pair with this cute photo!
