The O.C. and Gossip Girl may both be long gone, but there's at least one couple out there who still remember those iconic shows fondly: Leighton Meester and Adam Brody. In fact, the couple finally admitted that they find it at least a little bit funny that GG's Blair Waldorf tied the knot with comic book junkie Seth Cohen. Can you even picture Seth popping the question to Blair?
In their first interview together since the real-life couple said "I do," Meester and Brody were asked if they've ever laughed about the fact that their on-screen alter egos ended up together in real life—and, according to ET, they totally have. "Occasionally," Brody joked. "Once a year, randomly, on our Seth and Blair day. It's good for a laugh."
Meester added that although they've laughed about the fact on occasion, it's more to do with the fan reaction than with their own interest in each other's characters—and both admitted they've never actually watched each other's show. "It doesn't excite us, I think, because we're just human beings…but it's exciting to us that it's exciting to you," the actress shared. "It's cool."
As for their current plans, the couple is focused on helping share information about child hunger in the U.S., and was helping serve lunches to children through Feeding America at the time of their interview. They're also hoping to teach their daughter, Arlo, about the value of giving back as she grows older. "She's too little to come her today. She'd be like, 'I don't get it,'" Meester said, but added that it's something she and Brody hope to instill in her in the future. Sounds like the real-life teen dream couple has their priorities all sorted out!
