Here's the Secret to Peta Murgatroyd's Pre-Wedding Fitness Routine
It involves a little help from a pretty adorable source.
Peta Murgatroyd is going full steam ahead to get ready for her July wedding to Maks Chmerkovskiy. Not only has the Dancing With the Stars pro headed out for a cake tasting and given us a glimpse of her wedding-ready fitness routine, she's now sharing even more about her personal wedding prep-this time with the help of the couple's five-month-old son, Shai.
Peta, who will say "I do," to Maks next month at the stunning Oheka Castle, took to Instagram to show how she's getting extra fit for the big day, and it looks like Shai already knows where he can provide the most help: strength training. Yes, according to the Instagram video Peta shared, her little one is providing a great source of weight to help her tone up in the gym!
"Less than three weeks until the wedding!" Peta captioned her video, which shows the dancer working her legs, arms, and core with her little helper. "Love our family sweat sessions with @timhartwigtrain! #workforit #fitmom #workingmom." She also shared a second video earlier this month where Maks made a quick appearance to participate in a family-oriented ab workout. This definitely gives the term "quality time" a whole new meaning!
While the new mom and bride-to-be is clearly putting in some serious effort, her trainer Tim Hartwig has made it clear that Peta has a very specific set of goals in mind. The dancer has a goal weight, but is avoiding weigh-ins to assess her fitness level more fully. "It's about how her clothes are fitting…We aren't focusing on the scale," Hartwig shared previously. "We are basing it on how she looks and feels." And with some help from her adorable little one, it looks like Peta is right on track for the big day!
