Back in February, George and Amal Clooney—celebrities, activists, and all-around power people—announced to the media that they were expecting twins. News of two mini Clooneys was a blessing upon the world, and accordingly, we've all been on baby watch. Amal was projected to give birth in June, and right on cue, their little ones are here!
George's mother's reveal was accurate: The couple welcomed both a girl and a boy. Baby Ella and baby Alexander (no, they weren't named after tequila) were born to two happy parents. "Ella, Alexander, and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine," a rep told People. "George," the source joked, "is sedated and should recover in a few days."
We had a hunch that the babies were coming soon, as George skipped out on a recent event. The then-dad-to-be chose to stay home with Amal for fear of her starting labor. Prior to that, the couple had a babymoon, kicking back in both England and France. Sources suggest Ella and Alexander will be brought home to London for the foreseeable future. With how excited their dad and mom seem to be, we can guess they're going to have a great time there.
Will the twins inherit their dad's acting skills, or their mom's talent in law? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: They've got the coolest parents in town. Now, photos, please and thank you.
