Ryan Reynolds Said the Sweetest Things About Blake Lively at the Met Gala
Nothing can top this one.
Celebrity couples graced the red carpet at the annual Met Gala in New York City last night. While all eyes were on the incredible outfits worn by Hollywood's elite as they spent the evening at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, there was one couple in particular that deserved their own spotlight. The duo that took the evening? None other than Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.
Reynolds showed up in a navy blue suit, complete with a light blue bow tie. To complement his look, Lively wore a dazzling gold mermaid dress, featuring a low v-neckline and feather train in featuring shades of blue. Without a doubt, the two could have taken the night with just their outfits alone, but it was a sweet message from Reynolds that really won us over.
As the event came to a close, popular Instagram account Humans of New York shared a photo of the happy couple at the event, with a caption written by Reynolds dedicated to his wife. It read: "She always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy. She'll take the time to imagine what happened to a person when they were five or six years old. And she's made me a more empathetic person. I had a very fractured relationship with my father. Before he died, she made me remember things I didn't want to remember. She made me remember the good times."
Reynolds and Lively, who married in 2012, named their oldest daughter, James, after his father. Fans spent the evening gushing about how sweet the message was, and even Lively herself liked the post. If that doesn't make your heart melt, then we don't know what will.
