It looks like Duchess Kate knows how to keep a bachelorette party under wraps. While Prince William was hitting the slopes in Verbier, France, last month, his wife was enjoying a mountain getaway in honor of sister Pippa Middleton's bachelorette (or, as it's known in the U.K., hen) party. Pippa, who will reportedly tie the knot with financier James Matthews on May 20, celebrated her upcoming nuptials in Meribel, France, and the details do not disappoint.
The Middleton sisters spent their weekend with friends, skiing during the day and soaking up the luxury of their super exclusive catered chalet by night. Selecting a private retreat ensured the bride and her group were totally taken care of throughout the event. "Pippa loves skiing, so it was her first choice for a hen weekend," a friend of Pippa's told The Sun and added that chalet's owners did everything in their power to spoil the bride-to-be and her guests, including catering to their every whim and showering them with gifts. "It was a very small, private party, and they had an amazing time."
One of the best details? Because Prince William's own ski vacation was so close by, the two groups even took the same private jet to their separate getaways. Sounds like the perfect weekend for a sports-loving bride! While there's still speculation about whether or not Kate will return the favor and be Pippa's maid (or matron) of honor, one thing is certain: Prince George and Princess Charlotte will make the sweetest page boy and flower girl ever! According to the rumors, Pippa plans to have both her nephew and niece in the wedding paty.
As if the bachelorette party isn't enough proof that the wedding will take place in May, The Daily Mail reports that Prince William and Duchess Kate recently joined Pippa and James for a private dinner at home with the groom's parents and both Spencer Matthews and James Middleton, the couple's brothers. The group reportedly met for the first time, an important to-do for Pippa and James to cross off their list of pre-wedding tasks. Needless to say, we can't wait to get our hands on those wedding details next month!
