Three makes a trend, and we've just hit number four—in our books, that makes this the official week of secret celebrity wedding announcements. The latest couple to break the news that they tied the knot? Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski!
Sadoski appeared on The Late Late Show Thursday night with a very important message. When host James Corden stumbled over what to call Seyfried (his fiancée?), Sadoski happily filled in the blank by raising his left hand and referring to her as "my wife."
"We eloped," the star revealed, to the shock of everyone watching. "We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing." Well, they certainly kept their word about avoiding the spotlight on their wedding day! And as if he hadn't justified their relationship enough (um, did you see his recent heartwarming interview?), Sadoski confirmed that the couple were more than ready to get hitched. "Listen, she’s the person that I love, admire, respect most in the world." The crowd awwed right on cue.
Let's all give a moment of thanks to James Corden, who made sure the conversation didn't end without more details. The TV personality asked two key questions: "You did it just the two of you? Did you write your own vows?" Luckily, Sadoski answered both. "Yeah man, it was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other," he affirmed. He also noted that the intimate ceremony was "great" and "sort of perfect"—two things to keep in mind if you're considering eloping! It also sounds like the pair went off to dinner afterwards, but not before taking a celebratory walk with their dog.
Though Seyfried has yet to comment on the wedding, she did hint at Sadoski's reveal before the show. She posted a snapshot of her hubby on Instagram, along with a seemingly innocent caption about what he'd discuss that evening.
Sadoski and Seyfried got engaged last September and are currently expecting their first child together. Major congrats to the happy couple, whose shared lives just keep getting fuller.
