Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Norway Vacation Means More Than You Think
Is an engagement upon us?
While you were ringing in the new year with friends and champagne, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were doing the same…kind of. The pair, who spent NYE together, started 2017 off strong with a secret romantic vacation to see the Northern Lights.
Apparently, Prince Harry has always loved the Northern Lights and had been planning to return for quite some time. "He first went there in 2011 and he saw the Northern Lights," a royal expert told ET. "He made a pledge then that he would always go back, and when he went back, he would take someone special with him."
As this is the first time the couple went overseas for a getaway, many people believe that an engagement will happen sometime this year. "I've spoken to Harry's close friends," the expert said. "They are seriously thinking there could be an engagement sometime later this year." Future plans for the couple include another vacation for skiing. There's also talks that Harry is bringing Meghan as his date to one of his good friend's wedding in March.
Their relationship is definitely proving that these two mean business. In fact, Prince Harry is on the cover of the February issue of Town & Country flashing the matching bracelet he and Meghan wear. The Prince has also already met Meghan's father, who supports the relationship. Even Meghan's half-sister, Samantha Grant, thinks a royal wedding will happen. "I think it will absolutely be a royal wedding," she said. "And I think she'll love that, because she'll be honored and happy, and that will be her moment."
