Attention all Sam Hunt fans: your favorite country singer won't be Single for The Summer of 2017! People has confirmed that Hunt popped the question to on-again-off-again girlfriend Hannah Lee Fowler—and she said yes!
The two have been on vacation for the past couple of weeks, sharing Instagrams of them exploring Israel. Among the photos of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea, Hunt shared a video of Fowler captioned, "My day 1."
While Hunt makes sure to keep Fowler out of the spotlight, his music can't hide his feelings for his fiancé. In fact, Hunt just released a new song on New Year's Eve that's pretty much an apology to Fowler for what happened in the past. "I'm sorry I named the album Montevallo," he sings in his new song "Drinkin' Too Much." "I'm sorry people know your name now, and strangers hit you up on social media. I know you want your privacy and you got nothing to say to me, but I wish you'd let me pay off your student loans with these songs you gave me. Every dream I had was you. Hope you know I'm still in love. It's the kind you can't fall out of. Hannah Lee, I'm on my way to you. Nobody can love you like I do."
It's not the first time Hunt has expressed how Fowler has inspired his Grammy-nominated music—he named his first album Montevallo after her hometown. "I spent a lot of time talking to her about songs," he told ABC News Radio in 2014. "I probably should have included her as a co-writer on a lot of these songs because I spent a lot of time chatting with her. I got a lot of insight into females in general from being in a close relationship with her. I used a lot of that when writing on the songs, because a lot of the songs are relationship-based." Well, we're excited for Hunt to have 24/7 music inspiration from his bride-to-be!
