Hot Buttered Rum

Warm guests up with this warm wedding drink by Ian Hardie of Huckleberry Bar in Brooklyn.


  • 2 oz. aged rum
  • 3/4 oz. demerara syrup
  • One dropper of allspice dram
  • 1 oz. unsalted butter
  • Hot Water


  1. Combine the butter and about 1.5 ounces of hot water in an 8-ounce mug. Once the butter has liquefied, add the rest of the ingredients to the mug, top with hot water to fill, and stir.
