Over ten years ago, Wedding Crashers hit theaters. The movie, which stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, was about two best friends who crashed a lot of weddings and eventually found love. To this day, Wedding Crashers is still a classic comedy—and one of our favorite wedding movies—and now, it looks like we're finally getting a sequel!
Deadline has reported that the film is in early development, but two writers, Evan Susser and Van Robichaux (the team behind Fist Fight), have been hired by New Line Cinemas to write a script, which apparently they have turned in. Last week, Wedding Crashers star Isla Fisher mentioned the sequel while on the Today Show. "I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party, and he said that apparently we're going to be making a sequel," she said. "So I'm really excited to see what happened to [her character] Gloria." She then joked that she "shouldn't really announce it on morning television, but apparently there's some talk of it, which is fun."
We still don't know if the movie will officially be given the green light, nor if stars Vaughn, Wilson, Fisher, Bradley Cooper, and Rachel McAdams will return for the film, but we're hoping the whole gang will be back!
