Almost a month ago, Ciara and husband Russell Wilson announced that they're pregnant with their first child. Last night at the American Music Awards, Ciara showed off her baby bump in a high-neck, long-sleeve black and white dress by Stéphane Rolland Couture dress on the red carpet. "Pregnancy glow" is seriously a thing, because Ciara looked stunning.
"I think if my bump was a little bigger, this might not have worked," Ciara said in an interview with ET. "I'm super excited about my dress and very happy and comfortable."
Yet, her pregnancy hasn't been all that comfortable. "My earlier months in this process was a bit tough for me, well not tough but a bit more like … I wasn't used to this," she said. "I did throw up my first pregnancy, but this time I haven't thrown up with this baby. But, I've had that in between feeling where it's like I can't throw up, I don't want to throw up, but then I'm not normal and that's even more torture. I'm like 'Can we find the rhythm here?'" Luckily, Ciara has found her pregnancy groove and is feeling much better.
The singer admitted that she and Wilson do know the sex of the baby, but are not telling just yet. She also said the two have picked out a name, and that she is really excited, almost as excited as her 2-year-old son, Future. "He rubs my belly and he says, 'Hi baby. I love you baby, I can't wait to meet you baby,' and then he pulls my shirt down and says, 'Bye-bye baby!' So that's his own thing," she said. "He sees a baby walking, smaller than him and walking—it doesn't matter, it's a baby. So he goes, 'baby' and he looks at me and goes, 'Mama, baby' and he tries to pull up my sweatshirt."
When Ciara and Wilson announced their pregnancy on Instagram, Ciara was also celebrating something else—her birthday! "It was kind of a cool gift, you know, one first for us to be able to have, my husband and I," she said. "I think for my fans to be able to share that gift on my day was also special too. It made my birthday one of the most memorable birthdays of all."
