Remember that time Shia LaBeouf married his longtime girlfriend, actress Mia Goth, in Las Vegas? Here's your refresher: It was about a month ago when the couple said "I do" in an Elvis Presley-Hawaiian theme at the Viva Las Vegas chapel. In true LaBeouf fashion, no one really knew if this marriage was the real deal, or just an "art piece"—until the actor confirmed in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that the two definitely did tie the knot.
Now with the first month down, LaBeouf talked about his marriage on Sway in the Morning, a Sirius XM radio show, on Friday. "I love it, man," he said. "That's one that's not been a f**k up, that's been the best thing I ever did for myself."
When asked about the timing of the Las Vegas wedding, LaBeouf said, "I think I was after something real substantial this time, I'm 30 years old. And I really have never met anyone like this person, and you know when you know."
LaBeouf met Goth on the set of Nymphomaniac: Volume II, and they started dating in 2012. And though the couple has had its problems, LaBeouf knew she was the one. "I'm like a serial monogamist," he said. "I think it's 'cause I'm deeply insecure. Once you get vulnerable with a person, that's it. I've never been a one-night-stand guy."
LaBeouf joked about doing dishes and taking out the garbage "all day, all day." Well, we're glad things are working out well in the Goth-LaBeouf household!
