It seems that Pippa Middleton and fiancé James Matthews are itching to get married, and soon! The younger sister to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, announced her engagement just a couple months ago to the hedge fund manager. While people may be questioning whether Middleton would be planning her own celebration (she is a former party planner after all), more details about the big day have just been released. According to People, a good friend of the future bride revealed that the couple has set a date for May 2017. Guys–that's less than a year away!
"Of course she is super excited and already planning everything," the insider said. The insider also shared that the couple "have a lot in common–he's charming and old-fashioned. Everyone thinks he's quite the catch." Hearing that the pair has a lot in common must mean that they are both open to a more low-key wedding compared to, say, a royal wedding?
Matthews proposed on July 17th during a romantic weekend to England's Lake District. The ring, an Art Deco 4-carat, asscher-cut diamond surrounded by clusters of smaller diamonds, is believed to be designed by Robinson Pelham, a boutique jewelry designer who also designed the earrings Kate wore on her wedding day.
"He would never have bought something off-the-peg for her, it has to be very special," the insider said. So stunning, the ring is believed to be worth more than $250,000.
While Middleton is busy with the wedding planning, she and Matthews can be seen out and about in London. "They looked very happy and sweet, enjoying some breakfast together, just like any other couple," a diner said. "The ring is enormous! Perhaps even more so because she is so petite."
With only six months until Middleton's wedding month, we can't wait to see what these two have in store for their big day!
