Chris Hemsworth silenced divorce rumors the best way a celebrity can: on social media. Early this morning, the Australian magazine Woman's Day reported that Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky's marriage is "on the rocks" and that a close friend claims "they need space, and they've been taking a little break from each other." Overall, the article's message was that the couple's life "may not be as picture perfect as it appears."
So, is it true? Not according to Hemsworth himself, who took to his Instagram account to post a photo with his wife on a boat. In the shot, it seems like Hemsworth is searching for something. The caption says it all.
"Looking for a new wife according to @womansdayaus and other misleading outlets! Honey you still love me right?! @elsapatakyconfidential #thanksfortheadsup."
Pataky also posted a picture with her husband, captioned "Ahora y siempre! Always and forever!!" with a wink emoji.
Hemsworth and Pataky started dating in 2010 and got married later that year. "It just felt right," Hemsworth said on ITV's Good Morning Britain in March. "It made sense. There was no great plan to any of it to be honest, we were on holiday and we said, 'Why don't we get married, too?' And the next minute … There probably should have been some planning, but it all worked out. Honestly, we had both of our families on holiday at the same time, just randomly, and we said, 'This is a good opportunity with everyone together.' So we just did it." The pair had a daughter, India Rose, in 2012 and twin sons, Tristan and Sasha, in 2014. The couple moved to Australia in 2015.
Despite the recent reports, it seems this couple is doing just fine. "There was no lightbulb moment. From the first time we met, we just made sense," Hemsworth told Elle in 2015. "She's fun. She's outgoing, and she has a sense of humor and a passionate attitude toward life, which is nice to try and keep up with."
