Claire Pettibone Fall 2017 Wedding Dress Collection
Fittingly called "Four Seasons," California-based designer Claire Pettibone's Couture Fall 2017 wedding dress collection is an exploration in color and textures that invokes—you guessed it—the notion of nature's transition through winter, spring, summer, and fall. Just as the name would suggest, there's something for every time of year and every type of bride in the designer's latest bridal line—each expertly crafted in the aesthetic Pettibone has curated since 2005, when she first entered bridal, but this time with an Art Nouveau influence. This means romantic draping of lightweight fabrics that flatter the female body (a clear nod to her roots in lingerie), bright floral motifs and rich gold and copper undertones imparting a playful-meets-regal feel, and slim, easy-to-wear wedding dress silhouettes fit for an enchanted, bohemian wedding. So, how do you sum up a season in a wedding dress? "The Maia gown features colorful embroidery as if spring itself has come to life," Pettibone told us, and "the Snow gown features sheer illusion tulle appliquéd with lace and embroidery resembling winter's first snow." Take a journey through the seasons and see every new wedding dress from Claire Pettibone—straight from her Fall 2017 presentation!
