Naeem Khan Fall 2017 Wedding Dress Collection
Last season, designer Naeem Khan showed his Spring 2017 wedding dress collection, which was full of colors—from blush to purple to even black. "That is the big trend I feel," Khan said. "What I did last season was the introduction for me of color. Obviously I'm going to continue with this." Khan stuck to his word, and his Fall 2017 bridal collection featured bold colors (yellow, in particular) straight out of the '70s, which was a huge inspiration to him this season. As always, Khan brings his signature embroidery work to the stage, but this time with a new twist. He was inspired by Andy Warhol's work with diamond dust, so he and his team arranged sequins on the fabric to make it look three-dimensional on the dress. Khan also mixed embroidery and hand-placed them in a specific way to add even more texture to each dress. Rich, exotic textures, Khan's signature, are seen in the abundance of mini dresses in the collection, along with boots designed by Christian Louboutin and embroidered by Khan's team. "Imagine a mini dress and knee-high boots and a veil," he said. "I mean, how chic would that be?" So chic, any bohemian bride would love to walk down the aisle in the same getup. But traditional brides have nothing to fear: The designer created some classical beauties as well, with wedding-worthy white gowns ranging from sleek, beaded sheath wedding dresses to airy floral-embroidered A-line and ball gowns. There's truly something for everyone in Khan's diverse new line. See for yourself!
