We've seen several celebrities crash weddings, but crashing a wedding photo shoot? That's even better! On Sunday, photographer Meg Miller was taking wedding photos of couple Elisabeth and Ryan in Central Park in New York City when someone decided to walk into the shoot. That someone? Tom Hanks! What followed is basically the ultimate NYC moment.
Miller told Huffington Post that people in the park were staying away from the shoot, but she decided to put her camera down to let someone pass since he was close to the couple. That's when she realized it was the one and only Tom Hanks.
Yesterday's wedding was so beautiful! Elisabeth and Ryan you planned one amazing celebration. The icing on the cake was @tomhanks stopping in Central Park to wish them congratulations. #megmillerphotography #newyork #nyc #nyminute #celebrity #brideandgroom #tomhanks #weddingdress #wedding #weddingday #blacktie #centralpark #blackandwhite #huffpostido #stylemepretty #weddinginspiration #selfie #celebritysighting
Hanks approached the couple, "took off his hat, just leaned right into the group, and said 'Hi, I'm Tom Hanks,'" Miller said. He offered his congratulations to the newlyweds, shook hands with the groom, and kissed the bride's hand. He even asked if they needed a wedding officiant since he's an ordained minister. Remember, he received his license to wed Allison Williams and Ricky Van Veen last year!
The actor took a couple of selfies with the two and was on his way. "Had he just run past us, we would have never known it was him," Miller said. What a great moment to remember from your wedding day!
