Why Pippa Middleton Won't Be Hiring Adele As Her Wedding Singer
"Never mind, I'll find someone like you."
It's not uncommon to fantasize about Adele belting it out at your wedding-c'mon, have you heard that woman sing? Turns out, we aren't the only ones daydreaming! While organizing details for her upcoming nuptials to hedge fund manager James Matthews, former party planner Pippa Middleton couldn't help but envision the "Hello" singer as her wedding performer.
But like any savvy bride, she decided to stick to her budget. "Pippa realized how expensive she'd be!" said an Us Weekly source, referring to the hefty price tag Adele-level stars set for private events (think: approximately $1 million).
While that's a total bummer, we hear the rest of Middleton's planning is going great. A friend of the bride said that she's been "really hands-on," stopping at London's Lavender Green Flowers earlier this month to snap phone pics of bouquet options (she's favoring an ivory and lace color scheme, apparently). Plus, more insight has been shared on the wedding's theme. "Pippa doesn't want it to be too expensive or look gaudy," says the source, which is why she's opting for an "elegant" early-summer English countryside celebration instead.
And since the bride-to-be has apparently begun a new wedding singer search, we guess we'll refrain from any Adele crowd-sourcing efforts. But did Middleton hear that Adele is known to accept wedding invites?
