Eating well and using conditioning hair masks are part of any good pre-wedding haircare regimen, but what you're doing won't make all that much difference if you're not also using the right shampoo. After all, it's a product you're using at least every few days, and one that's delivering lackluster results will make it harder for the other steps you're taking to make a noticeable impact. Once you start using the right formula for your hair type, you'll notice that you're not just cleaning it—you're also strengthening and protecting your hair, too.
In turn, that may mean that you won't need to rely quite so heavily on heat tools and styling products to make it look great. (And less product buildup and heat styling mean less damage.) The best shampoos always equal gorgeous air-dried locks, which has he added benefit of cutting down on the amount of time you'll need to spend getting ready each morning. Better hair and more time in bed? If that's not a win-win, we don't know what is.
Since finding the shampoo that delivers the best results for your needs takes time, it's best to start experimenting early. Then, by the time your wedding day comes around, your hair will be in its best shape ever and you'll know exactly which one to reach for ahead your styling session—think of it like a makeup trial. To help inform your search, we did our own trial run and came up with a list of the best shampoos for every hair type, concern, and need. Who knows—you might love the effects of one shampoo so much that you'll want to let it air dry on your wedding day.
