With her wedding to writer Bill Kennedy fast approaching, comedian and actress Abby Elliott is in full-blown planning mode. "We're at the two month mark, so it's all about the little details … that you don't think of right away," the Odd Mom Out star told People. "Like the holders for the place cards. I'm like, 'Where do I get those? Where do I even start?' But all the big details are squared away, so there will be a wedding."
Elliott also has her dress all picked out, a Leanne Marshall gown. "I thought I was going to go for a very Bohemian style, something a little different," she said. "I ended up with something opposite." While she didn't describe the gown—what bride wants to give away one of the most important details of the day!—we're picturing something sleek and refined, maybe a sheath gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline.
As for the planning itself, Elliott said, "My dad is helping a lot actually. He's been very involved, it's really sweet. And my mom as well." The one thing her dad and fellow comedian, Chris Elliott, is really invested in? The food. "He's been very involved in the catering process. A lot of food things that he wanted." Sounds like a very dad-appropriate job to us! As for her fiancé, "Billy takes care of the stuff I don't want to deal with." So convenient!
Her parents have been "getting the house in shape," so we're looking forward to a gorgeous at-home, fall wedding in Connecticut. "I'm very excited to marry my fiancé," the bride-to-be gushed.
