It's Pippa's turn to walk down the aisle! While her wedding may not be widely televised and watched by millions like her sister's nuptials were, we have a feeling it will be just as spectacular. James Matthews, a hedge fund manager, proposed to Middleton during a romantic weekend away in Britain's Lake District with what appears to be an Art Deco, 4-carat Asscher-cut diamond surrounded by clusters of smaller diamonds.
Middleton debuted the ring today when she stepped out of her home smiling and flashing her gorgeous new piece of jewelry. A spokesman for Prince William and Duchess Kate released a statement saying, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are absolutely delighted with the news." Her father also released a statement to the press, saying, "Carole and I are absolutely thrilled with the news. They make a wonderful couple and we wish them every happiness together."
Middleton and Matthews have been dating a little less than a year, but were also a couple back in 2012. In a statement released to the Press Association, the couple revealed they plan to marry sometime next year: "Miss Pippa Middleton and Mr. James Matthews are delighted to announce they became engaged on Sunday 17th July and plan to marry next year." We can't wait to see her wedding gown and of course, Duchess Kate's matron of honor gown. Will it be as show-stopping as Pippa's at the 2011 Royal Wedding? And will Prince George and Princess Charlotte serve as page boy and flower girl? Stay tuned.
