Are Demi Lovato & Wilmer Valderrama About to Get Engaged?

The singer said she "wouldn't mind" an engagement ring—hint, hint, Wilmer!

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama may not be officially engaged yet, but hey, "engaged to be engaged" is definitely a thing. During her recent visit to The Ellen Show, Lovato addressed rumors that she and her boyfriend of five years were planning to walk down the aisle sometime soon. And though she may not have a ring right now, she told the talk-show host, "I wouldn't mind if I saw one … We've been together this long, obviously I'm not going anywhere."

The couple first met six years ago when Lovato was only 16 and started dating when she turned 18. Lovato admitted to Ellen to having a crush on him when they first met, but Valderrama advised her to "stay away" until she was old enough. The couple has been through their ups and downs; Lovato went to rehab shortly after they began dating, but Valderrama stuck by her side. "People told him, 'You should probably leave. She's on a spiral, and you're going to be sucked down with it,'" Lovato said to Cosmopolitan. "But he was like, 'I'm not leaving. This is somebody I really care about.'"

Since then, the couple has been going strong. The former Disney star has not been shy with her PDA-filled photos and posts on social media. On Valderrama's birthday, Lovato posted on Instagram, "I love you My Wilmer. You deserve the world and more.. Here's to so many more memories Feliz Cumpleanos..." Valderrama even got in on the social-media gushing by posting a cute picture for her 23rd birthday and captioned it: "You inspire millions, and I'm one of them. Your smile keeps getting bigger and bigger with every birthday that comes by! I'm blessed to see it shine."

If that doesn't sound like a couple ready to put on a ring on it, we don't know what does. One thing's for sure: If Valderrama does pop the question, we know what Lovato's answer will be. As she told the radio show ZM in New Zealand, "if he asked tomorrow, I'd say yes."
