Ginseng-Ginger Tonic

Ginseng tea with honey and ginger slices invigorates you without the caffeine.

  • 8 ounces cold water
  • 1 teaspoon loose ginseng tea or 1 tea bag
  • 4 slices fresh ginger, plus more for garnish
  • Honey to taste (optional)


  1. Bring water to a boil; remove from heat. Add tea and ginger; cover, and steep 15 minutes. Strain, and transfer to a tumbler. Stir in honey, if desired. Garnish with ginger. Serve warm.
