Megan and Jeremy

Megan Sherrod (a photographer) and Jeremy Anderson (a lawyer) met in a Dallas restaurant in the fall of 2009—an appropriate "how we met" story for a Texas-based couple. Fast-forward four years, and the couple found themselves on the beaches of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where Jeremy popped the question on the last night of their vacation.

It only seemed right to continue their fairytale on the same sand as where Megan said "yes." So the couple tied the knot on April 19, 2015, at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort, surrounded by 46 of their closest friends and family—including their two children, Jackson and Saylor. With a wedding vacation that began with a yoga lesson for Megan and her bridesmaids on the bridal suite's private patio, continued with beach and pool time for all, and ended with a weeklong family getaway with their kids, Megan and Jeremy's Mexican adventure could not have been more relaxing or romantic.

The Style

Megan tried on just under a dozen dresses and chose what she thought would be "the one." But then it arrived and she realized she hated it. With only six weeks until the wedding, she called her maid of honor and drove to a bridal boutique in Lewisville, Texas, where she chose the first and only dress she tried on that day—an Enzoani lace sheath that happened to be hemmed to her exact height.

Jeremy's pale blue tie provided a pop of color against his cream-colored suit from Q Clothier.

The Bridal Bouquet

"I like how Bows and Arrows' flowers are simple, natural, and classic looking—nothing too trendy or manicured," says Megan, who chose all-white blooms. In addition to the peonies requested by the bride, bougainvillea, ranunculus, and roses were used in the bridal bouquet—all of which were locally foraged.

Although Megan's grandmother wasn't able to attend the wedding, she embroidered a 20-year-old Irish linen handkerchief with the bride's new initials and wedding date for her to use on the big day.

The processional began at the top of a large, cascading stone staircase that led down to the beach. With waves crashing up against the rocks and Megan's gorgeous, long Edward Berger veil blowing in the wind, even vacationers crowded on the upper deck to sneak a peek at the couple's wedding ceremony.

The couple's kids—Jackson in Janie and Jack and 16-month-old Saylor wearing a flower crown by Bows and Arrows—joined their parents for family portraits. Megan's favorite part of the day? "Watching Jeremy's face as all three of us walked down the aisle," says the bride.

Each place setting included light wooden chargers and a letterpressed menu card tucked inside a white pocket-folded napkin. Because the winds were high at the coastal location, wedding planner Meggie Francisco and floral designer Alicia Rico found rocks around the venue to help keep everything in place.
