Do Take Your Time Getting Ready

Give yourself enough time so you don't feel rushed while getting ready for your walk down the aisle. "That feeling for a bride is awful. I think brides should take their time," Vergara says. "If your hair is not doing what it was supposed to do that morning, you want to make sure you have time to be able to change it."

Don't Reinvent the Wheel

"This is not the time to invent things or try new things," Vergara says. "This is the time to do whatever you know works for you and that you always liked. If you look better with a lighter lip or your eye a certain color, you should go for it. I think you're going to regret if it you try to be like, 'Oh, let's make a statement!' You're going to look at the pictures and then you're going to regret it."

Do Wear Sunblock

"I'm very loyal to sunblock. I love being in the sun and enjoying the outdoors, but it is very important to me that I protect my skin from the harmful damages of the sun," says Vergara.

Do Stick to Your Normal Fitness Routine

"Because of my work, I have to constantly be working out and exercising," Vergara says. "I won't do anything different for my wedding, except have less cheat days."

Don't Feel Like You Have to Wear White

"It would be super fun to wear color!" Vergara says. "It would be beautiful and really modern to do that."

Do Try Different Dress Styles

"You have to try on many things to figure out what you really think and if it's perfect for you," Vergara says. For example, something that might look sexy on somebody else might not work for you. "Or something that might look boring on someone else can look exciting on you. It's a matter of trying things and figuring out what looks better," she says. "I know what looks good on me, so that is what I want to do. It's a no-brainer. I do what I know already works."

Do Have Fun

For Vergara, a wedding should be all about the fun of it-not a problem or a fight. "It's a celebration," she reminds us.
