Whipped Cream Filling

  • Yield: Makes 4-5 cups


  • 1 1/2 teaspoons gelatin
  • 6 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups heavy cream


  1. Sprinkle gelatin over 2 tablespoons cold water in a small microwavable bowl. Set aside to bloom, about 2 minutes.

  2. Microwave on high until gelatin is melted, about 15 seconds. Set aside to cool slightly.

  3. In a small bowl, stir together cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until no lumps remain. Stir in gelatin.

  4. Whisk cream in a large bowl until medium peaks form. Fold in cream cheese mixture. Whisk until firm peaks form.
