After two years of dating, the actor and model were on a trip when Matthew planned a romantic excursion and popped the question in true heartthrob style.

"The proposal was really important to me," says actor Matthew Morrison on his plan to present a sapphire-and-diamond ring to his then-girlfriend, Renee Puente. Already in Maui celebrating his dad's 60th birthday, the pair went off one afternoon for a guided horseback ride through the island's volcanic region.

"We took our horses down to the beach, and I found this amazing tree that served as a canopy to where I dropped down to one knee," Matthew says. Renee was so shocked and overwhelmed that she was speechless. "I didn't realize what was happening until I saw the tears in his eyes-and Matthew's not a crier," Renee says. "The whole world just stopped. And so I hadn't answered him yet, and he asked, ‘So will you marry me?' Then I finally said, ‘Oh, yes!'"

The romance didn't stop there. After riding their horses back to the ranch (and asking the guide to take a few snaps, of course), Matthew arranged for a private dinner in a nearby beachfront home where the couple toasted to their new status.
