Bacon-Wrapped Chestnuts

Can you say "crowd-pleaser"? Everyone will clamor for these savory yet sweet, nutty mouthfuls.

  • 12 strips bacon, cut into 4-inch pieces, chilled
  • 24 roasted and peeled chestnuts
  • 1/4 cup light-brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water


  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Wrap bacon around chestnuts; secure with toothpicks. Mix sugar with the water in a small bowl. Place chestnuts on rimmed baking sheet; brush with glaze. Bake until bacon is crispy, about 20 minutes, brushing with glaze midway through. Remove from oven, glaze again, and serve immediately.
