A Red DIY Wedding in New York
Lauren and Craig
Lauren and her groom, Craig Kelly, share a postceremony kiss.
The Bride's Bouquet
Lauren Richel's bouquet overflows with blooms, including dahlias, tulips, ranunculus, maiden-hair fern, nerines, scabiosa, and viburnum foliage.
Lauren wore a small birdcage veil by Artikal Millinery from Kleinfeld.
Craig's cherry boutonniere is embellished with striped ribbon.

Lauren's self-designed stationery suite boasts a unique finishing touch: vintage Lewis and Clark stamps that represent the couple's cross-country romance.
Following a family tradition, the bride stitched her mother and mother-in-law's initials onto vintage handkerchiefs and presented them to the women before the ceremony.
Father of the Bride
Dr. Peter Richel walks his daughter down the aisle.
The wedding programs were designed by the bride and matched the stationery suite.
Miniature envelopes holding stamped table assignments were pinned to a fabric-covered board propped on an easel on the lawn.
The bridesmaids wear colorful shoes with cocktail-length kelly-green dresses featuring different necklines.
The Bride's Parents
Lauren's parents pose for a portrait after the ceremony.
A Special Moment
Lauren reads "I Like You," by Sandol Stoddard Warburg, to Craig in the garden; Lauren's childhood friend read an excerpt from the book during the ceremony.
The Bride and Her Grandmother
The blushing bride and her paternal grandmother, Amy Richel.
The Bridal Party
The wedding party poses on the lawn for a postceremony shot.
The Guest Book
Lauren handcrafted her guest book out of envelopes, into which guests were asked to tuck notes and well wishes.
In honor of a family tradition, Lauren canned 230 jars of four-berry jam and offered them to guests as favors.
Friends and family gather for cocktails before the reception.
One of the guests drinks the signature cocktail, the pomegranate champagne.
A guest holds a strawberry and goat cheese hors d'oeuvre.
Lauren and Craig's first dance was to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."
A smattering of slim glass vases at every table puts loose, garden-style arrangements of dahlias, ranunculus, zinnias, nerines, scabiosa, and maiden-hair fern on display.
Individual bowls of currants, plums, apricots, and fresh berries with a place card flag greeted guests at each place setting.
"A bit of paint made my Nana's cake topper look more like me and Craig," says Lauren. "The whole wedding was all about the details."
Ice Cream Treats
