This unusual, lush display is rustic and modern at once -- and inexpensive and easy enough to make yourself.
Tools and Materials
1/4-inch wire-mesh hardware cloth
A soup can
Fully bloomed white roses in plastic floral tubes with water
Moss-and-Rose Centerpiece How-To
To make the centerpiece, cut wire mesh into pieces 8 1/2 inches long and 3 7/8 inches wide (big enough to wrap around the can with 1/4-inch overlap); the two long sides and one of the short sides should have smooth edges; the other short side should have the wire ends protruding. Use pliers to bend protruding wires into hooks. Wrap mesh around can, and hook wire ends into squares of overlapping edge. Remove can, and fill wire form with moss. Poke floral tube into moss so rose rests on the moss.
