Flower-Wrapped Favors How-To
- Fill a 3 5/8-inch-high acetate cylinder with candy.
- To make flower, cut a 9-by- 30-inch piece of tissue paper. Fold, accordion style, in 5-inch-wide layers. Cut petals in smaller end; unfold and lay on flat surface.
- Place cylinder on paper with bottom about 1 inch from uncut end, and roll; tape sides and bottom with double-sided tape. Tie ribbon above top of cylinder.
- Gently peel petals down to open flower. If you use a shorter cylinder, reduce height of paper; for a multicolored blossom, wrap a second layer of paper around cylinder after first is secure; secure with ribbon.
is there a video on how to make these? or something similar? i am having trouble making these
I picked up Wilton favor box cylinders at Michaels Crafts (in Canada) to do this with.
where do you find the poker chip storage cases???
try also "poker chip storage cases" for the cylinders. You can get them without buying in bulk.
Very idea. Idea Ribbon like the great ideas by using color tissues and favor boxes
I'm not understanding how the bottom of the cylinder is formed to keep the candy inside. There would be 1" of tissue beyond the cylinder, so do you just fold it in?, use tape? what?
That other link in the comments for the cylinders didn't work, but I found them in here in all different sizes. This site sells tissue paper, too! http://www.papermart.com/Templates/83-0-15.htm
You can use a toilet paper roll. Or a paper towel roll. These work great!! So fun and not costly. Very pretty.
