Song-and-Dance Conversation Starter
Instead of numbering your tables, assign a song title to each one. When the tune plays, the whole table has to get up and get down. Have your band play the assigned songs throughout the night and ask the members of the corresponding tables to hit the dance floor.
See below for our list of danceable love songs, and discuss with your DJ or bandleader which ones you can use for the game.
Then, experiment with fonts and colors to create cards with the titles of each song on them (if you like, download the eight titles we've designed and print on card stock, and then cut into quarters).
Put each card on a table, and have your DJ or bandleader announce the game at the beginning of the night.
We consulted some DJs we know (some even work with us!) to get their suggestions for love songs that are also surefire dance hits -- those songs that will make almost anybody feel like dancing. Use these suggestions to make cards for the Table Dance game, or simply ask your DJ to weave them into your night.
