Making a Wedding Dress
Any bride should begin her search for the perfect wedding dress by trying on all four basic silhouettes: sheath, A-line, princess, and ball gown. But if you've tried on hundreds of dresses and still haven't found "the one," you're not alone. Bride Jodi Levine found herself in a similar predicament until she met with a wonderful dressmaker, who helped her bring the dress of her dreams to life.
Jodi and Jean Kormos, proprietor of Ghost Tailor in New York City, began by pouring over hundreds of magazine clippings, seeking inspiration from photos of both contemporary and traditional styles. Jean's design, a two-piece silk-faille ensemble with a stunning ruffle at the neck, reflects Jodi's personal sense of style as well as the tone of her wedding: modern, with touches of tradition.
