Download and print the PDF template onto white paper; a slightly stiff version of text-weight paper works best. For the Horseshoe Tag Template with Monogram, download the PDF, and replace the sample initials with your own.

Cut at crop marks using a metal straight edge and a craft knife (don't cut all the way to the paper's edge; this will leave the crop marks intact for each subsequent cut). When cutting across the previous cuts, press the metal straight edge down firmly so the strips of paper don't slip, and use a fresh, sharp blade. Use scissors to clip off the corners at the top of the tag. (You may find it easiest to make the lengthwise cuts with the craft knife, and then cut each of those strips into tags using scissors as well.)

We attached these labels with a small adhesive dot or double-sided tape. You can use a small hole punch to make a hole in the top of the tag (fold one spare tag in half to determine the exact center; then unfold and punch a hole in it; lay this tag over the others a template to guide the position of each hole).
