Bright bunches of sweetpeas, poppies, roses, ranunculus, and astrantia will pop when placed in cloth-covered vases.
To make them, attach fabric to plant pots with double-sided adhesive sheets. We used Kelly Wearstler "Sea Urchin" fabric ($136/yd, 617-449-5506), Twin Tak adhesive ($5.50/sheet, leesartshop.com), and Ikea "Mandel" pots (from $2, ikea.com).
1. Make a template by tracing a pot as you roll it across a piece of paper, then cut it out. Use paper to measure your fabric, allowing for an additional 2 inches at the top and 1 1/2 inches at the bottom. Cut a piece of double-sided adhesive to match.
2. Adhere cloth to one side of the adhesive sheet; use a bone folder to ease out bubbles. Stick the other side to the pot. Cut slits every 3/4 inch into the excess fabric, then fold it around the edges.
