Pigs in Blankets with Sauerkraut


Top these little puff pastries with a few strands of sauerkraut for a tasty snack.

  • 1 package (14 ounces) store-bought puff pastry, thawed
  • 50 cocktail hot dogs
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten with 1 tablespoon water, for egg wash
  • 1/2 cup prepared sauerkraut, drained


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut pastry into 3/4-by-3-inch strips; wrap around hot dogs, sealing with a dab of water.
  2. Brush egg wash over pastry. Bake until golden brown, 5 to 8 minutes. Top with sauerkraut; serve.
