I agree with the comment from 8 years ago, lol! I baked mine for 35 minutes, and they look over done. I'll have to see if the cake seems worth making again. I made the almond paste myself because I had almond flour on hand, but it felt like an awful lot of steps for a cake...
I don't understand the baking time direction. I left the first ones I made in for under an hour and they were way too brown. I had to make them again. This time I took them out after 38 minutes and they really are still too brown (on the sides and bottom). I haven't a clue why it says to bake so long. If I ever make it again, I will start peeking at 20 minutes.
