You Can Actually Buy Emma Stone's Pretty Pearl Engagement Ring
The bauble was sourced from a contemporary shop based in New York City.
Emma Stone has a new accessory—on that finger—thanks to now-fiancé Dave McCary. The engagement ring, which the actress debuted when she announced her engagement on McCary's Instagram account, is a unique pearl design set within a subtle diamond halo. And now we know even more about the out-of-the-box piece—it is actually a handmade ring designed by Kataoka and purchased from New York City jewelry store Catbird, according to People.
Titled the Kataoka Winter Pearl Ring, the bauble was designed in Tokyo by master jeweler Yoshinobu Kataoka, notes Catbird's website—and is available right now. Unlike celebrities with custom engagement rings, fans of this design can purchase it themselves, and forever match the La La Land star.
Stone and her fiancé have received a lot of love since revealing the piece; the couple's most famous friends have started to offer their congratulations. Tennis player Billie Jean King shared how thrilled she was by the news in the comments section: "Congratulations to two of the most wonderful, loving, and creative people we know. Ilana and I are so happy for you!" Actress Zoey Deutch, on the other hand, left a crying emoji on the social media announcement, notes The Blast.
Though the duo's loved ones know all about Stone's fiancé, the majority of her fans do not. After all, Stone and McCary's relationship, which began after Stone appeared on Saturday Night Live in December 2016, has been kept under the public's radar. McCary started as a writer on SNL and has since moved up to segment director. A source revealed to People that "Dave is a super down-to-earth guy. Most of his best friends are people he's known since he was a kid, and he's not affected by Hollywood. He's very creative and funny, and he and Emma share the same sense of adventure."
