This New Image from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Royal Wedding Proves Why Candid Photos Are So Important
In honor of the two-year anniversary of their engagement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared several meaningful photos on Instagram.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just took a trip down memory lane. To commemorate the two-year anniversary of their engagement announcement, the royal couple shared several images on Instagram, noting how special this point in time was for their relationship. The photos highlighted the milestones they have since celebrated, most notably the birth of their son, Archie, on May 6, 2019. Best of all, however, the post also debuted a never-before-seen candid snapshot of their wedding day.
In the black-and-white photo, the second in the post's carousel, the Duke and Duchess are pictured shortly after tying the knot in Windsor Chapel back in May 19, 2018. Meghan is shown doubled over with laughter, wearing her off-the-shoulder wedding dress designed by British fashion designer and Givenchy creative director, Clare Waight Keller; Harry, looking towards his bride, is resplendent in his military uniform, which he donned for their big day.
The photos clearly mean so much to both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who wrote a nostalgic message to accompany the post. "On this day, two years ago: 27th of November 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the news of their engagement, later becoming Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex! They have since celebrated their wedding anniversary and welcomed their son, Archie, into the world."
Prince Harry and Meghan marked their first anniversary on May 19, 2019. On that occasion, the royal duo revealed never-before-seen royal wedding images, as well; these snapshots gave their fans a behind-the-scenes look at their celebration, showcasing moments that Meghan shared with her mother, Doria Ragland, and those the couple spent together, shortly after the ceremony.
