Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney appear to be one step closer to tying the knot. Some are even speculating that the couple, who got engaged in February, may have secretly tied the knot yesterday. The reason? People reports that the couple was spotted at the New York City marriage bureau.

The pair, who were first linked as a romantic couple in 2018, appeared to be accompanied by two security guards, a photographer, and a friend, according to images obtained by Page Six. Upon exiting the marriage bureau, Lawrence, dressed in a gray blazer, jeans, and a white shirt, was spotted holding paperwork—however, the exact nature of the document is unclear.

The Oscar winner has remained largely tight lipped about her relationship with Maroney, a 34-year-old art gallery director. Earlier this year, however, she did give fans an inside look at her relationship and wedding-planning process during an interview with Catt Sadler on her podcast, Naked with Catt Sadler. Of their relationship, the Hunger Games actress gushed, "He's the greatest human being I've ever met. He really is, and he gets better." She went on to share how she knew he was the one: "I don't know, I started with the basics. How do I feel? Is he nice? Is he kind?' It's just—this is the one, I know that sounds really stupid but he's just, he's—you know. He's the greatest person I've ever met, so I feel very honored to become a Maroney."

The actress elaborated even further, stating, "I definitely wasn't at a place where I was like, ‘I'm ready to get married,' I just met Cooke and I wanted to marry him. We wanted to marry each other, we wanted to commit fully. He's my best friend. I want to legally bind him to me forever. And fortunately the paperwork exists for such a thing. You find your favorite person on the planet and you're like, ‘You can't leave!'"
