Sarah Hyland's Fiancé, Wells Adams, Has the Best Advice for Newly-Engaged Couples
The reality TV star opened up about the importance of enjoying the engagement phase.
Don't expect Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams to rush down the aisle—the newly-engaged duo is too busy enjoying the engagement phase, something that Adams, a reality TV star, couldn't stress the importance of enough. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, he opened up about the pressure he and his fiancée have felt since he proposed last month.
"I've said it before, everyone is so invested in the next thing. Like when we were dating, everyone was like, 'When are you moving in?' And when we moved in, everyone was like, 'When are you going to get engaged?'...It's like, hold on, don't forget that the destination isn't what it's about, the journey is what's fun," Adams explained. "We're, like, a month into being engaged and I've never been engaged before and I assume I'm never going to be again, so I kind of want to just enjoy this little time." This is solid advice for couples currently preparing to tie the knot—there's simply nothing wrong with enjoying your engagement.
There's another logistical reason why the duo won't tie the knot any time soon. They have some serious planning to do: "Also, Sarah is going to be, like, Pinterest boards and vision boards and a lot of Elmer's glue is going to be involved. So, I think we're just holding off on that."
As for whether or not he and Hyland will take a page out of Adams' Bachelor in Paradise friends' playbooks and televise their nuptials? "I think they know I would never do that," the former Bachelorette contestant added.
