Though we don't know much about Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's home life, we do know that couple takes plenty of measures to show each other they care, both on and off the red carpet. But during the premiere of the actor's new Amazon Prime Video series Carnival Row—the singer accompanied him to the event!—Bloom opened up about the seemingly small thing that he and his future wife do to keep their romance alive at home (despite busy work schedules!).

After posing for a photo op with Perry (and whispering a few sweet secrets into her ear!), Bloom told Entertainment Tonight that he and his fiancée are fans of writing love notes. "We have a black board and we write messages of love," he said.

These kinds of gestures are likely necessary for their relationship, since Perry and Bloom spend the majority of their time apart. As for how they make it work? Bloom told People that ensuring their relationship is solid, whatever the distance, is "part of the job." "You have to do the groundwork together, create the feeling of trust and safety so that you can spend time apart and do everything that you need to do and still feel tethered to that person, so that you can go on a journey together," he added.

Perry couldn't agree more—she expressed a similar opinion during an interview with KIIS 1065's The Kyle & Jackie O Show. "I think we're doing really great, and we're really doing the hard work and laying a beautiful foundation before we start to build a monster house, metaphorically," Perry said.
